Who this applies to: All active employees with Workday access.
Before you start: You will need your Workday login credentials. If you cannot log in, contact IT or your HR contact.
Part 1: Update Your Home Address
Why this matters: Your home address is used for tax filing (W-2), payroll, and benefits correspondence. Update it as soon as your address changes.

Select View Profile from the dropdown menu
[Tenant-specific navigation — verify in production before publication]Click the Personal tab (or Personal Information — label may vary by configuration)

- Address Line 2 (apartment, suite — if applicable)

What to expect:

Common Questions
Q: My address won't save and I'm getting an error. What do I do?
Look carefully at the error message — it will usually indicate which field has a problem (for example, a required field left blank). If you cannot determine the cause, contact People Systems support at [support contact — confirm].
Q: Can my manager see my home address?
Manager access to personal information is controlled by your organization's security settings. Contact HR or People Systems if you have questions about what information is visible to your manager.[Do not make claims about default visibility — this is tenant-configured]
Q: I moved to a different state. Do I need to do anything else?
Yes — contact Payroll to update your state tax withholding (W-4 or equivalent). A Workday address change alone does not automatically update tax elections.
Q: My name changed. Can I update it here?
Legal name changes typically require HR documentation (such as a court order or updated Social Security card). Contact HR for the name change process — this is usually not a self-service action.[Confirm your organization's process]
